New Neighbors!

Photobucket

I have rarely interacted with anyone online except the community at Teh Squeaky Wheel and the personal blogs of the folks there. As all of them are on the side bar there I never listed any other sites but the Wheel here. I recently "met" some fascinating people at some other blogs and I am having a great time reading their blogs and wandering around to see the sites of their visitors. I have listed a few blogs on the side that I have really enjoyed visiting. I am so glad I found them and I am very grateful for their gracious hospitality and their patience. Thank you!

I love the music at Homekeeping Heart's blog.

When I get married, I'll snag my reception playlist from her!

I first went to Laurie's blog when she had the 911 post up and the National Anthem was playing. I read her profile, looked at her blog and was hooked. What a wonderful place to stop in. (I confess I turn the music off)

It was following her commenters that led me to the others.

No Mac! You should turn that music up and dance, dance, dance with Elena!

I'm sorry... I'm the last person on earth who should be telling someone else what he "should" do... but... seriously. That is some nice romantic dancing music!

Which is why I'll use it at my wedding.

That was about the last time I danced. Coming up on 23 years.

Well then it's about time, mister!

Seriously! Put on Homekeeping's blog and ask sweet Little Mouse to dance.

You'll be the king of romance.

I know. I'm far too nosey and intrusive. But how fun to think of you and sweet Elena dancing away to blog music! I love it!

And I know Harper would love it, too, if she were here right now.

No. Dancing.

Not. Romantic.

Okay. I will not nag anymore.

(but can i just say dancing is always romantic? just taking your sweet girl in your arms and swaying to the music... that's dancing... and it will melt her heart. as i said. i'm done nagging. i was supposed to be in bed an hour ago, and now, off i go.)

hugs to dear Mac and sweet Mouse!

You did it, sort of.

my laptop screen is loose right now so everything looks fuschia. I will try later to see which avatar picture looks the clearest.
Thanks for telling me how to do this, Gentle Mac. I'll be back later...

(((poof)))

Thank you for adding me to your blogroll. I am humbled by your kindness.

I also enjoyed your banter with ottavarima about my playlist. You can make your own playlist at playlist dot com. Just sign up, search for music or artists that you like and then you can copy the code to post to your blog. Sometimes the music gets on my nerves too and I just mute it. But I still like it and sing along alot.

Hi, Laurie. I get kidded about music because I love opera and listen to it almost every day. Otta has much better taste and is full of life.

Machinist said...

I don't know what you could mean by kindness. I love your site and I know some of my friends have enjoyed it as well. It looks like a LOT of work! Thank you!

It was through Otta that I found Tyler and then Rob at The Blogquat, where I saw your comment. Small world. (I agree the bread looked great but the cheese I'll pass on)

Thanks for adding me and I will check out the others. I like this feature. It's a great way to find new blogs.

It's me said...

Thanks so much!

And this ol' Marine says DANCE! And here's why... very, very rarely, Husband will stop what he's doing and swirl me around the kitchen or living room to whatever happens to be playing... not very long, not very well. But it is the bit of fuel that I need when times are tough. And he's just about as far away from romantic as a guy can get.

PS... we didn't dance 23 years ago. We left the wedding chapel and hit the casinos! :) How's THAT for not-romantic.

Hi Mac!

Hi, Cali! Thank you for stopping by.

Hm...I heard Sulla stopped by your blog, Gentle Mac. WhyHowCome he didn't leave a comment, hmmmmm?

You do have the cookies ready don't you, Sir? We must lure him in to discussions...

Machinist said...

You're looking brighter and crisper this morning, Gentle Lady!

I guess Sulla doesn't love us. *sniff*

Machinist said...

And of course your hair is FABULOUS, as always!

SillyBlindHarper said...

Thank you, Gentle Mac. I feel brighter now that I have my little bent wand here.

You lend the place class and grace, Gentle Lady. Thank you.

Just stopped back by to say hi!

Hi!

Thank you, Laurie. It's nice to see you.

You added me to your blog roll! I'm so ... speechless, which is totally unlike me ... I guess I'm actually not speechless, but I am honored. Thank you. I will return the favor :)

And I must say, I have very much enjoyed our banter, regardless of the hour ... now, back to work for me ... enough diversion - no matter how enjoyable ;) ... all play and no work ....

Wendy, the honor is mine. I appreciate your patience. I find you bright, articulate, and well informed. You have an interesting group of commenters at your blog who seem to share much of your perspective. Although I may not agree on some things I am interested in understanding that outlook and I am grateful for your explanations.

I think that little yellow kitten waving hello is just adorable.
